Hello Beautiful People!
Happy Makeup Monday! I’m back from my trip and ready to start posting on the normal schedule again!! We’re all makeup lovers, but as makeup lovers, we know how ridiculously expensive the simplest things can be. At times, it’s fun or worth it to splurge on makeup; but when it’s just not in the budget, we look for products that are great but well priced! Today I thought I’d share with all of you my top 10 makeup products that were around $10 or under! These products are all staples for me, last a long time and some of them are actually pretty good dupes for the pricier brands such as benefit and mac!
The Top 10 Products & Prices!
(All Prices Below in Canadian Dollar)
All of these really long lasting eyeshadows are great as bases or on their own. I find them really great because you can just swipe them on your lid and leave and they’re guaranteed to stay all day without having to use any shadow primer! (I put them into one category and one number…not sure why, I just did)
#2 | Maybelline Volum’ Express The Rocket Mascara ($9)
This has been my favourite drugstore mascara since I started my blog! It adds so much volume in just a couple coats and it doesn’t clump, which is amazing! Especially for such a good price.
#3 | ELF Cosmetics Blush Brush ($3.50)
For the crazy cheap price (and I even got it half off!) there brushes are pretty good! However, in particular, this blush brush is great for applying blush, highlighter or even contouring! (it’s really soft too…always a plus).
#4 | ELF Cosmetics Mineral Blush in Sweet Retreat ($6)
This blush is amazing if you’re looking for a good quality blush that is natural looking! I find that it just gives me enough colour so that I look “alive”…amirite ladies?
#5 | Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream ($10.50…I cheated, but get it on sale)
If this is the first post of mine you’re reading, you’re probably not aware that I talk about this BB Cream in almost everyone of my makeup posts! But I can’t help it! This is the BB Cream I’ve been using every single day for the past year and I’m in love with it. It lasts sooooo long (I MEAN IT) for such a great price and has just enough coverage if you don’t like the feeling of a ton of makeup on your face!
#6 | ELF Cosmetics Shimmering Facial Whip ($1.50)
If you’re looking for a close dupe to Benefit High Beam, this is it! I’ve been using high beam for a long time now and It is 100% my favourite highlight, however, not everyone wants to pay a lot of money just to highlight their face, so if you only want to pay a little over a dollar and get almost the same quality, I suggest trying this product!
#7 | Rimmel Stay Matte Primer ($8)
I’ve tried a lot of different drugstore primers, from the photo ready primer (good but not $10 and under) to baby skin primer (see all about this one here) and I’d 100% say this is my favourite one! It helps keep your face matte, good if you have oily skin. I also find it good as a base. Some primers are too silicone based and it makes it difficult to apply your makeup, however, this one is more of a cream base.
#8 | Maybelline FIT ME Concealer ($10)
This is definitely one of my all time favourite drugstore products! It has great, build able coverage and there are a wide variety of shades to choose from (not typical of a drugstore). I’ll probably continue buying this product as long as it’s available and I’m still wearing makeup.
#9 | Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Cherish (left) and Honey (right) ($10)
Revlon lip products are easily the best available at the drugstore These are awesome. I started wearing them when i first got into lip products because they’re super easy to apply! They last a long time and they have a lot of different colour choices. They also have them available in mattes if that’s more your thing!
#10 | Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink Cognito ($9.50)
I’ve talked about this product before on my blog because it’s the perfect neutral everyday colour! Although I love my mac lipsticks that I use almost everyday, this one is awesome because it has a bit of shimmer in it, is well priced and lasts a considerably long time for a drugstore lipstick (but not as long as the balm stains). It also has really cute packaging!
That is all for this post! I hope it was helpful to those who were looking for some cheaper but good quality products to buy or replace their pricier products with! Do you have any other suggestions?! Have an amazing week everyone! See you on Whatever Wednesday!
